The Lantern Floor Lamp - TRINA
About this product
The Lantern Floor Lamp - TRINA combines a solid wood base and a soft fabric shade to provide diffuse, directional lighting for quiet interiors. Available in heights of 120 cm or 160 cm, this minimalist standing lamp for living room corners or bedside reading works with standard LED bulbs between 6 and 10 watts. The structural design casts light in both upward and downward directions, preventing glare while illuminating a space of 15 to 30 square meters.
This Japanese style wooden floor lamp sits on a sturdy wooden foundation and utilizes polished chrome fittings for structural stability. A simple button switch operates the fixture, making it easy to control the illumination in a quiet study room or bedroom. Since assembly is required, the lamp ships in compact packaging to protect the natural wood and textile components.
To clean the fabric shade, dust gently with a dry microfiber cloth.

Caring for solid wood
Solid wood is durable and ages beautifully, but it's susceptible to damage from moisture, extreme temperature changes, and direct sunlight. Regular, gentle care helps maintain its appearance and longevity.
How to clean solid wood items
For general cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth, then immediately dry with a clean, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of mild washing-up liquid diluted in water; apply sparingly and dry thoroughly to prevent water marks or damage to the finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the wood's protective layer.
How to remove smells from wood
To remove lingering odors like smoke, first clean the item as described above. Then, place an open container of activated charcoal or baking soda inside or near the item for several days, allowing it to absorb the smell. For persistent odors, gently wipe surfaces with a cloth dampened with a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio), then thoroughly dry and air out the item in a well-ventilated space.
How to fix scratches in wood
Minor surface scratches can often be camouflaged using a wood repair marker or a wax stick that matches the wood's color. For deeper scratches, gently rub with very fine steel wool (0000 grade) in the direction of the grain, then reapply a suitable wood oil or wax. Significant damage or deep gouges may require professional restoration, as home repairs can sometimes worsen the issue.
How to protect and maintain wood finish
To prevent damage, keep solid wood items away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive humidity. Regularly dust with a soft, dry cloth and periodically apply a wood-specific oil or wax, following product instructions, to nourish the wood and maintain its luster. Always use coasters under drinks and protective pads under hot items to avoid rings and burns.
