Teak Wood Side Table - Solid Teak, Low
About this product
This low Teak Wood Side Table is sculpted from a single section of reclaimed teak root, offering a distinct and functional surface for any living space. Each table's outline and grain patterns are shaped by the root's natural growth around underground obstacles, resulting in an organic form unique to every piece.
Sourced from discarded teak roots, this solid teak table repurposes material that was historically left to waste after felling timber trees. Its inherent natural oils provide moisture resistance without requiring additional treatments, ensuring durability and minimal upkeep indoors. This makes it a practical and sustainable choice for a low living room table or accent piece.
Maintain the table by dusting crevices with a soft brush and wiping surfaces with a barely damp cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight and radiators to preserve wood consistency.

Teak Wood Side Table - Solid Teak, Low
Caring for solid wood
Solid wood is durable and ages beautifully, but it's susceptible to damage from moisture, extreme temperature changes, and direct sunlight. Regular, gentle care helps maintain its appearance and longevity.
How to clean solid wood items
For general cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth, then immediately dry with a clean, soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of mild washing-up liquid diluted in water; apply sparingly and dry thoroughly to prevent water marks or damage to the finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the wood's protective layer.
How to remove smells from wood
To remove lingering odors like smoke, first clean the item as described above. Then, place an open container of activated charcoal or baking soda inside or near the item for several days, allowing it to absorb the smell. For persistent odors, gently wipe surfaces with a cloth dampened with a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio), then thoroughly dry and air out the item in a well-ventilated space.
How to fix scratches in wood
Minor surface scratches can often be camouflaged using a wood repair marker or a wax stick that matches the wood's color. For deeper scratches, gently rub with very fine steel wool (0000 grade) in the direction of the grain, then reapply a suitable wood oil or wax. Significant damage or deep gouges may require professional restoration, as home repairs can sometimes worsen the issue.
How to protect and maintain wood finish
To prevent damage, keep solid wood items away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive humidity. Regularly dust with a soft, dry cloth and periodically apply a wood-specific oil or wax, following product instructions, to nourish the wood and maintain its luster. Always use coasters under drinks and protective pads under hot items to avoid rings and burns.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping is free worldwide on most orders. Orders are prepared within one to three days, and most arrive 9 to 18 days after you order.
Large and heavy pieces, such as furniture, can carry a delivery charge because they ship as freight rather than as a parcel. Any charge is calculated from your address and shown at checkout before you pay, so nothing is added afterwards.
Every piece is checked before it leaves the workshop, and every order is sent with tracking so you can follow it to your door.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is every teak root table different?
Yes. Each table is carved from one section of root, so shape, grain and outline differ from piece to piece. Photographs show a representative example rather than the exact table you receive.
What is a teak root table made of?
Solid reclaimed teak root, taken from the root ball left after a teak tree is felled for timber. It is a single piece of wood rather than joined boards or veneer.
How do you care for teak root furniture?
Dust the crevices with a soft brush and wipe with a barely damp cloth. Teak holds its own oil, so regular oiling is unnecessary indoors. If the surface looks dry and pale after several years, a thin coat of teak oil restores it. Over-oiling leaves a sticky film.
Will the wood crack over time?
The root is kiln dried before carving, which does most of the settling. Fine surface checking can still appear as humidity changes through the year. Keeping the table away from direct sun and radiators prevents most of it.
Can it be used outdoors?
These are finished for indoor use. Teak survives outdoors, but with a different finish, and an indoor piece left outside will grey and roughen.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are prepared within one to three days and usually arrive 9 to 18 days after you order, depending on the destination. This piece ships as freight, so a delivery charge based on your address is shown at checkout. We ship across the EU, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.
