Caring for linen and cotton
Linen and cotton are resilient natural materials that become softer and more beautiful with gentle use and proper care. Their primary vulnerabilities are harsh chemical cleaners, excessive heat, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.
Washing your linen and cotton
For most items like cushions, curtains, and smaller rugs, machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water (up to 30°C) using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. For delicate or antique pieces, hand washing in cool water is recommended to preserve their integrity. Always separate whites from colors to prevent dye transfer.
Removing stains
For fresh spills, gently blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth, then rinse with cold water. For tougher stains, apply a small amount of mild washing-up liquid directly to the spot, let it sit for a few minutes, then gently rub before washing as usual. Avoid harsh bleaches, especially on colored items, as they can damage fibers and fade dyes.
Drying and ironing
Air drying is best for linen and cotton; lay items flat or hang them to prevent stretching and minimize wrinkles. If using a dryer, select a low heat setting and remove items while slightly damp to reduce creasing and avoid over-drying, which can weaken fibers. Iron linen and cotton while still slightly damp on a medium-high setting to smooth out wrinkles effectively.
Storing your items
Ensure all items are completely clean and dry before storing to prevent mildew and odors. Fold or roll them neatly to avoid permanent creases, and store in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight. Use breathable fabric bags or acid-free tissue paper instead of plastic, which can trap moisture and cause yellowing.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping is free worldwide on most orders. Orders are prepared within one to three days, and most arrive 9 to 18 days after you order.
Large and heavy pieces, such as furniture, can carry a delivery charge because they ship as freight rather than as a parcel. Any charge is calculated from your address and shown at checkout before you pay, so nothing is added afterwards.
Every piece is checked before it leaves the workshop, and every order is sent with tracking so you can follow it to your door.
