Natural Linen Curtains for Serenity

These are room-darkening blackout-style linen curtains, not 100% light-block theatre drapes. The dense linen weave with backing significantly reduces incoming light — enough for restful bedroom sleep and to dim a living room for a film — but a soft halo will remain at the edges, which is normal for any pleated fabric panel. For full pitch-dark, pair with a side-mounted blockout track or a roller shade behind the curtains.

Measure the rod or rail width and add 30–50% extra width for a properly full pleated look — so a 200 cm window pairs well with W250 or W300 panels. For length, measure from the rail to either: 1 cm above the floor for a floating look, the floor for a clean break, or 5–15 cm extra for a soft puddle. Sizes available run W100 → W400 cm and L125 → L270 cm.

Grommet (metal eyelet) is the easiest to install and slides smoothly on a rod — best for living rooms. Pencil pleat creates a soft gathered look that suits Japandi and traditional interiors and works on tracks or rods with hooks. Yes — natural linen is washable. Use a cold or 30°C gentle cycle with mild detergent, no bleach. Air-dry on the rod itself to let gravity remove most creases, or tumble on low briefly. A light steam after hanging restores the soft, lived-in linen drape. Avoid high-heat tumble drying as that can shrink linen by up to 5%.

Beige-grey is the most versatile against oak, rattan, travertine and warm white walls — the signature Japandi palette. Grey works with cooler greige and cement-look surfaces. Each panel ships with the appropriate hooks for the header style (4 hooks per metre for hooks-top, 10 per metre for pencil pleat). Rings or metal grommets are pre-fitted on the grommet variant. Note a 3–5 cm dimension tolerance from the seaming process — measure with that buffer in mind so the panels meet at the centre when closed.
